Hey guys,
First, I just wanted to tell you guys that you did great last night! You could really tell that God was moving in the students lives last night! We were definitly on the "same page."
With that said, I am greatly anticipating next Wednesday as well, as I know you are. However, I will not be at rehearsal this Sunday because I will be in Houston at the Hillsong United Conference till Sunday afternoon. So Alex Ellis will be running rehearsal and Peter will be doing the devotional. I will let Alex choose the songs for this next week, and it will be your responsibility to learn any new songs that Alex wants to do. ButI'll be in contact with him.
Starting this week, I will post a "Psalm of the Week" for you to read, study, and pray over. My prayer is that you would read these Psalms and meditate on them daily.
Psalm of the Week:
Psalm 8:
"O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
above the heavens.
From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise [b]
because of your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings [c]
and crowned him with glory and honor.
You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
you put everything under his feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!"
also, new song called "Sweetly Broken". learn it haha:
Hope all of you have a great weekend and I will see you all next Wednesday!
Grace and peace,
phil
